Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Acrylates/Dimethicone Copolymer. SeraSense® AC 15 by KCC Basildon (Momentive) acts as a fixative and film forming agent. It is an acrylate siloxane, graft copolymer with an acrylic polymer backbone and dimethylpolysiloxane side chain. It forms soft and flexible films on the skin with water-, oil- and wash-off resistance property. Moreover, it offers good compatibility, dispersion stability, durability, reduced transfer and long-lasting effects. It is blended with cyclopentasiloxane, has D5 as base oil and can be easily incorporated into the oil phase of any formulation. SeraSense® AC 15 finds application in formulating color cosmetics, sun-care and skin-care products.
