Orbignya Oleifera Seed Oil. Babassu Oil by Gustav Heess acts as an emollient and anti-microbial agent. It is obtained by cold-pressing babassu nuts (orbignya oleifera). It contains lauric acid which offers anti-microbial effect. In contact with the body, it melts immediately and provides glossy, soft and smooth skin feel. Moreover, the melting process is accompanied by a slight cooling effect, which brings about a feeling of freshness. It exhibits creamy foam, flexibility, good spreading and viscosity-reduction when used in emulsions. Babassu Oil finds application in formulating soaps.
