Silica Silylate. AEROSIL® R 812 S by Evonik is an anti-caking, free-flowing, hydrophobizing, gelling, suspending, dispersing and thickening agent. It is a fumed silica after-treated with HMDS. It helps improve the homogeneous distribution of the pigments in color cosmetics. It prevents a premature reaction and caking of powdered colorant component (hair dyes). AEROSIL® R 812 S is suggested for use in color cosmetics and hair care applications. The shelf life of the product is 2 years.
