Meristant® 101S

Hydrogenated Methyl Abietate. Meristant® 101S by Essential Ingredients acts as a film former and solubilizer. It is naturally derived from pine gum and wood rosin. Increases water resistance in sunscreens and have the additional property of solubilizing avobenzone and oxybenzone. Its high refractive index can add gloss to personal care products such as hair care, lipstick and lip gloss. Improves the long term stability of the emulsions thereby increasing shelf life of the final formulation. Eases manufacturing processes and reduces raw material costs. It is allergen tested having broad FDA approval and offers broad compatibility with cosmetic ingredients. EcoCert-approved. Meristant® 101S is used in color cosmetics, hair care, skin care and sun care products.
