C13-15 Alkane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer. PURESIL™ ORG 01 by Elkem Silicones is a silicone elastomer gel in a C13-15 alkane. The non-volatile alkane is 100% natural according to ISO 16128. It is obtained by the fermentation of sustainably sourced sugarcane. It is the first generation of Elkem Silicones sustainability solution. It provides soft focus masking skin imperfection. It absorbs sebum and imparts matte finish. This ingredient spreads out evenly and offers smooth, silky, lubricity, powdery and luxurious skin feel. It shows higher compatibility with cosmetic ingredients. It masks wrinkles and promotes radiance. It disperses physical sunscreens effectively and uniformly resulting in SPF boosting. It thickens water in silicone emulsions and anhydrous system. PURESIL™ ORG 01 is used in concealers, foundations, make-up base, cream blushes, cream eyeshadows, matte lip glaze, and lipsticks. It is also used in skin serum, moisturizers, anti-aging products, sun protections (cream and lotions) and suntan lotions. It is suitable for leave-in conditioners, hair sprays and styling products. The shelf life of this ingredient is 24 months.
