BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 550

Magnesium Aluminum Silicate. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 550 by Elementis is a non-animal origin rheological additive for aqueous cosmetics and toiletries. It is a highly beneficiated, non-abrasive, easily dispersible, powdered smectite clay. It provides smooth & silky feel to cosmetics and personal care products. It offers thermostable thixotropy/pseudoelasticity and good suspension control to the water phase of cosmetics. It increases the viscosity of the aqueous phase and stabilizes viscosity on aging, at varying temperatures and under different shear conditions. It reduces phase separation and syneresis. BENTONE HYDROCLAY™ 550 is used in oil in water emulsions, creams, lotions, antiperspirants & deodorants, color cosmetics, face packs, facial make-up, sun- and hair care products. It is approved by COSMOS and Ecocert Greenlife. It has a shelf life of 4 years.
