Bentone Gel® HS V

C13-15 Alkane (and) Disteardimonium Hectorite (and) Alcohol. BENTONE GEL® HS V by Elementis is a non-animal origin, non-abrasive, rheological additive for cosmetics and toiletries. It is a specially prepared dispersion of an organically modified hectorite in hemisqualane (C13-15 alkane), a light natural emollient derived from sugar cane. It offers predictable, rheological, reproducible & stable viscosity control and suspension properties to emulsion and anhydrous products. Provides controlled alignment of special-effect pigments, thixotropic flow, shear-thinning viscosity and excellent suspension of pigments & actives. It gives pleasant residual silky & smooth feel to the skin and allows thermostable viscosity control of the emulsion’s oil phase. It raises apparent melting point and ensures cost-efficient use of UV filters. Also, improves application properties and enhances aesthetics by masking greasy & tacky components. BENTONE GEL® HS V is used in masks, foundations, concealers, lipsticks, antiperspirant and face-, body-, sun- & hair care formulations. It is RSPO approved. The shelf life of this grade is 2 years.
