Maltitol (50%). Maltitol 55/75 by Ecogreen Oleochemicals is a protective agent, thickener and humectant. Maltitol is obtained of natural disaccharide maltose after catalytic hydrogenation. It is a high viscosity containing maltitol liquid. It lends consistency and prevents tooth decay. Also prevents suspensions, tinctures and medicinal liquors from drying out. Provides smooth and creamy texture. It is stable up to temperature of 180°C and is water soluble. It is relatively stable, at low & high pH and did not undergo any Maillard reaction (browning reaction). Shows preserving effect at higher concentrations.
