Eastman AQ™ 48 Ultra Polymer

Polyester-5. Eastman AQ™ 48 Ultra Polymer by Eastman acts as a fixative and film former. It is a sulfopolyester that disperses directly in a mixture of ethanol and water at room temperature or in warm water without the assistance of surfactants or other additives. It aids the dispersion of hydrophobic ingredients in water-based formulations and films formed from these dispersions are clear and glossy at room temperature. It helps in excellent film formation with and without alcohol. Provides excellent hold under high humidity conditions in aerosols and pump hairsprays. Offers good wash-out with shampooing and low wet or dry film tack. Eastman AQ™ 48 Ultra Polymer is used in hairstyling gels, and fast drying-, 55% VOC- and low viscosity hairsprays.
