4,7-Methano-1H-indene-2-carboxaldehyde, octahydro-5-methoxy-. SCENTENAL® by DSM-Firmenich is a partially biodegradable, synthetic, perfumery ingredient produced by green synthesis. It has a complex aldehyde marine note associated with a watery green floral character and slight mossy undertones. Its value is best appreciated in combination with other green notes,in chypres, eau de colognes, masculine notes and sheer floral types. It is an excellent modifier or enhancer of other ozone marine notes. SCENTENAL® contains 0.025% of BHT as stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 2 weeks on a smelling strip. It is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, and soap. It is EcoIngredient Compass™, Kosher, and Halal certified.
