2-Buten-1-one, 1-(2,6,6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-yl)-, (E)-. DAMASCONE ALPHA FAB by DSM-Firmenich acts as a fragrance ingredient. It has a very diffusive and distinctive floral fruity note. It is a very complex odor of rose, apple, blackcurrant and mint with a rich plum undertone. It is normally used to give unique effects. Excellent results can be obtained with aldehydic, floral, woody, herbal, citrus and fruity notes. Contains no stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 1 week on a smelling strip. DAMASCONE ALPHA FAB is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, and soap.
