2-Buten-1-one, 1-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1,3-cyclohexadien-1-yl)-. DAMASCENONE TOTAL by DSM-Firmenich is a synthetic, perfumery ingredient produced by green synthesis. It has a very powerful floral fruity note that is very close in quality to Damascenone. It smells intensely natural, rose, plum, berry and tobacco. Gives attractive and beautiful nuances to all fragrance types even at trace or low levels and can often be used as a direct replacement of Damascenone. Contains 0.05% of tocopherol alpha as stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 1 week on a smelling strip. DAMASCENONE TOTAL is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, and soap.
