Hydrolyzed Corn Starch. MaizeCare™ Style Polymer by Dow is a non-GMO, 100% vegetable origin, biodegradable and starch-based film-forming biopolymer. It also acts as a hair fixative for exceptional humidity resistance, excellent styling durability, curl retention and frizz control. It is derived from corn that allows flexibility in hair care styling from stiff hold to subtle definition and textures from waxes to sprays. It is easy-to-use in water-based formulations. The aqueous dispersion forms a natural film on the hair. This non-hydroscopic and cost-effective grade provides virtually no flaking, ease of styling, sebum/oil absorption and volume. It is an ideal solution for formulators seeking environmentally-friendly ingredients. It is capable of achieving a range of hold levels with excellent aesthetics. It is compatible with gelling agents such as carbomer, xanthan gum and acrylates-based rheology modifiers. Recommended for styling gel, cream, wax and water spray. MaizeCare™ Style Polymer is approved by COSMOS and Ecocert. The shelf is 24 months.
