Polyquaternium-37 (and) Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate (and) Trideceth-6. Acts as a thickening and stabilizing agent. It is a cationic acrylic homopolymer dispersed in a mixture of the propylene glycol diesters of caprylic and capric acids. This preservative-free product thickens and stabilizes O/W emulsions regardless of oil type. It is compatible with cationic and non-ionic emulsifiers and aids in suspension of solid particles. It provides smooth touch in formulations with a non-greasy and non-sticky after feel. Enables easier and more uniform rub-in and spreadability of highly thick and compact creams. The cationic nature of the polymer provides affinity for the skin and enhances water-proofing ability of the cosmetic formulation. This is an oil phase emollient that improves lubrication and skin cell resilience, combining with proteins to promote healthy skin. The product forms opaque gels and provides conditioning properties. Hair care applications include after-shampoos, masks, and conditioning creams. Skin care applications include AHA- and BHA-based formulations, sunless tanning systems, and solvent-based formulations.
