Citric Acid Anhydrous by Citribel acts as an acidifier, preservative, pH regulator, buffering agent and chelating agent. It is 2-hydroxy-1,2,3-propanetricarboxylic acid consisting of colorless crystals or a white, granular to fine powder, practically odorless with a strong acid taste.
  • It provides sour taste and enhances flavor profile and can improve the performance of other functional ingredients.
  • It adjusts and controls acidity and ensures stable conditions for other components.
  • It binds metal ions to improve stability, prevent oxidation and discoloration.
  • It enhances performance in detergents and enables descaling.
  • It lowers pH to inhibit microbial growth and prevent degradation and discoloration.
  • Citric Acid Anhydrous meets all requirements of the USP, FCC, Ph. Eur., JP, JECFA and the Commission regulation (EC) No 231/2012 when tested according to the latest versions of these compendia.
