Chitosan Glycolate (>1 - 5%) and Aqua (>95 – 100%). HYDAMER™ CMFL by Chitinor (Seagarden) acts as a deodorizing agent. It is derived from marine shrimp shells through partial deacetylation of chitin. Moreover, it is an aqueous solution of 1% chitosan in 0.4% glycolic solution. It provides anti-microbial effectiveness and excellent skin care properties. It prevents excessive generation of odor forming substances. It is not compatible with anionic compounds. It is antioxidant-free, preserved with 0.35% phenonip XB and contains water as solvent. It finds application in formulating skin care products. HYDAMER™ CMFL is not suitable for use in alkaline formulations such as deo-sticks.
