It is our high-quality, highly soluble sodium salt of L-lactic acid, produced by fermentation from carbohydrates. This humectant is ideal for boosting the natural moisturizing factor (NMF) by moisturizing the skin and key component of the NMF. Sodium lactate has a high water holding capacity and is an excellent humectant. It provides moisturization to give softer, smoother skin. It is a essential moisturizing component, cost-effective and versatile, for all kinds of leave-on skin care applications. As a humectant, it is used in rinse-off applications such as face tonic, face and body washes and bar soaps. It has additionally been shown to have skin lightening benefits. It has specific benefits in the manufacture of bar soap, including increasing hardness of oil-based soap bars, reducing water-loss and cracking and enabling stamping and release from molds. It is used in skin, hair care, bath & shower and oral care products. PURASAL® S/HQ60 is Ecocert certified and COSMOS approved product.
