Novaguard™ CG

Caprylyl Glycol. Novaguard™ CG by Novaphene Specialities distributed by Brenntag Beauty & Personal Care in Europe (except Greece), acts as a preservative and moisturizing agent. It is vegan, globally approved and has bacteriostatic, bacteriacidal properties which are useful in cosmetics. It is a semi-solid to solid white substance. It is a multifunctional ingredient that provides humectant and skin-conditioning benefits while delivering antimicrobial efficacy. It enhances overall system protection.

• It improves skin feel and in addition, it can be used either alone or in combination with other preservatives to combat microorganisms directly and thus reduce or eliminate body odor, acne or mycoses.
• It is used in antiperspirants, deodorants, moisturizing formulations, skin and hair conditioning.
• It has emollient base designed for shower & bath soaps, facial care, facial cleansing, body-, baby care, anti-acne- and moisturizing products (creams & lotions).
• It is effective at a wide pH range.
• Novaguard™ CG has a shelf life of 2 years.
