Noni Extract by Bolise, scientifically known as Morinda citrifolia Linn. Medical researchers tried unsuccessfully to employ noni in the treatment of cancer. Ripe fruits are used to drain pus from an inflamed boil in Hawaii. The bark of the big morinda tree generates a brownish-purplish dye that is used in batik manufacturing, the trees are planted for this purpose on the Indonesian island of Java. Yellowish dye is derived from its root in Hawaii and used to colour fabric. The usage of oil extracted from noni seeds has recently gained popularity. Noni seed oil is high in linoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory, acne-reducing, and moisture-retention qualities when applied topically to the skin. Noni extract should be kept in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. When properly stored, it has a shelf life of 24 months.
