It is a preservative-free blend of bioengineered high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid designed to maximally hydrate both the superficial layers of the skin and the lower layers of the epidermis. High molecular weight hyaluronic acid works to form a film on the surface of the skin which hydrates the top layers of stratum corneum and protects against external irritants such as air pollution. Meanwhile, low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (MW<400k Daltons) can penetrate quickly to hydrate and bind water in the deeper layers of the epidermis.
