Bicotene® Natural by Bicosome is an anti-photoaging system for deep biological sun protection. It prevents oxidative stress, DNA and collagen damage due to sun exposure. • It is a natural origin delivery system that has targeted delivery of beta-carotene, a precursor to pro-retinol, to specific skin layers.
• The Bicosome® technology stabilizes beta-carotene, providing 8x more effective skin penetration of beta-carotene into the epidermis compared to a liposome system.
• It is composed of two lipid assemblies including internal smart discs that carry the active and an external lipid vesicle enclosing the discs, thereby double encapsulating the active ingredient.
• The vesicle delivers the smart discs to the skin, which then pass through the narrow intercellular spaces of the stratum corneum and reach the targeted skin layer.
