Phytosteryl Macadamiate. AXIMOL PSE-M by Axiom Ingredients acts as an emollient. It is a naturally derived ester of phytosterols and fatty acid rich macadamia nut oil. The presence of the fatty acids, along with the moisture binding properties and melt point close to that of the skin of the ester itself, help create a rich cushiony product that builds luxuriant textures. Upon application, it may intermingle with lipids present in the stratum corneum improving barrier function and enhance damage recovery. Provides strong oxidative stability, making it ideal for hot pour/high temperature manufacturing, while the wax like texture delivers superior adhesion properties and increased payoff making it ideal for color cosmetic applications. Other areas of potential application include skin care for moisturization and hair care for conditioning and gloss/shine.
