VP/Acrylates/Lauryl Methacrylate Copolymer. Styleze™ 2000 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a film former and conditioning agent. It is a copolymer derived from vinyl-pyrrolidone, acrylic acid and lauryl methacrylate. It provides long-lasting styling, natural feel, shine, manageability and thermal protection. The anionic and hydrophobically modified polymer exhibits excellent high humidity curl retention. It forms non-tacky films and clear, water white & alcohol-free gels. It dilutes easily in cold & warm water and can be cold-processable. Styleze™ 2000 polymer finds application in formulating hair care products like gels, styling lotions/creams, novelty stylers, shampoos and conditioners.
