Aqua (and) Methylisothiazolinone (and) Phenethyl Alcohol (and) PPG-2-Methyl Ether. optiphen™ mit plus preservative by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a preservative. It is effective against gram-positive & gram-negative bacteria, yeast and mold. Shows excellent heat stability, work across a wide pH window and easy solubilization in water. It is not based on paraben, formaldehyde or halogens. optiphen™ mit plus preservative finds application in formulating hair care products (conditioners, gels, mousses, novel stylers, shampoos, styling lotions/creams), body care, color cosmetics, face and body washes, facial care, wet wipes and sun care (after-sun, self-tanning and sunscreen) products.
