Butyl Ester of PVM/MA Copolymer. Gantrez™ ES-435 polymer by Ashland acts as a fixative, film forming and styling agent. It is a copolymer of monoalkyl ester of poly (methyl vinyl ether/maleic acid).
  • It controls frizz, fly-aways spray, heat style, does not stick to curling/flat irons for hair styles with special effects and moldable long-term hold for waves.
  • Offers soft, natural feel in hair, easy brushable and no/low residue provides shine for gloss finish.
  • Films exhibit tack-free adhesion, have excellent substantivity and moisture resistance.
  • It is soluble in alcohols, esters, ketones & glycol ethers and has good compatibility with aerosol propellants.
  • Used in both low and high VOC formulations.
  • Provides excellent shine, good style retention and humidity resistant.
  • It aids pigment dispersion and emulsion stabilization.
  • It is also used in aerosol & hairsprays, gels, mousses, styling lotions/creams, styling sprays (non-aerosol), artistic hair styles, special effects with curling/flat irons, lift & spray volume and sculpted hair styles.
  • Gantrez™ ES-435 polymer is supplied as 50 percent solids in isopropanol.
