Gafquat™ HS-100-O polymer

Polyquaternium-28. Gafquat™ HS-100-O polymer Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a fixative and conditioning polymer. This copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and methacrylamidopropyl trimethylammonium chloride (MAPTAC) is a cationic polymer that offers good wet and dry combing. It helps to build body to hair and leave it manageable. In addition, it provides good curl retention in styling applications. The polymer is also suitable for formulations across a wide pH range. It forms clear, non-tacky films and enhances hair luster. Gafquat™ HS-100-O polymer is used in shampoos, conditioners, styling lotions/creams, gels, mousses, styling sprays (non-aerosol), and novelty stylers. It contains Optiphen™ preservative.
