Advantage™ Plus polymer

VA/Butyl Maleate/Isobornyl Acrylate Copolymer. Advantage™ Plus polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a fixative and water-resistant agent. It is a terpolymer of vinyl acetate, mono-n-butyl maleate and isobornyl acrylate. It delivers stiff, hard-holding performance, styling effects and long-lasting curl retention even in a high humidity environment. It helps to boost formula SPF and provides a low-shine finish on the skin. Advantage™ Plus polymer is suggested for use in aerosol, pump hairsprays, self-tanning and sunscreen formulations, especially effective in continuous spray formulas.
