Geogard® 221

Dehydroacetic Acid (DHA) and Benzyl Alcohol. Geogard® 221 by Arxada is a preservative blend. Designed to replace parabens and paraben-containing blends in personal care and cosmetic formulations. Offers higher efficacy across the board and substantially better performance in formulations with a lower pH. Provides effective formulation protection from both bacteria and fungi. It is permitted for use by ECOCERT, as synthetic preservative in ecological and organic certified cosmetics. Used in shampoos, conditioners, rinses, liquid soaps, shower gels, sensitive skin lotions, moisturizers and cold creams. Also applicable in baby products like mild shampoos, hair detanglers, bubble baths, baby wipes and towelettes. Geogard® 221 is recommended for sunscreens lotions & creams, surfactants, shampoo blends and conditioner blends.
