Cetyl ricinoleate. Imparts a silky feel which is non-oily and non- greasy. Possesses outstanding mildness, non comodogenicity and moisturizing properties. Its superior moisturizing properties are attributable to is outstanding film forming properties together with its unique hydroxyl group. Provides superior emollient properties like other esters without the disadvantage of comodogenic properties. Improves the dispersibility of colorants and active principles in the formulation. Imparts high resistance to rancidity. Used in face creams, lotions, night creams, vanishing creams, hand creams, liquid make-ups, hand and body lotions, lipsticks, sunscreen lotions, oils, sticks, herbal creams as well as lotions.
