Vida-Care™ HEC

Hydroxyethylcellulose. Vida-Care™ HEC by Alfa chemicals is a highly efficient non-ionic thickening agent. It is a water-soluble polymer produced by reacting cellulose with ethylene oxide under controlled conditions. It is derived from cotton and has high salt and pH tolerance. It gives a silky, silicone-like lubricity to formulations.

• It is hot and cold processable and compatible with anionic, cationic & amphoteric polymers, and non-ionic & cationic surfactants.
• It can be formulated into mild, clear, anionic surfactant products such as baby care and facial washes.
• It exhibits smooth, honey-like flow characteristics and provides excellent slip with a lubricious skin feel in gels and lotions.
• It can be used with other rheology modifiers to create interesting textures.
• Vida-Care™ HEC can be used to formulate styling & conditioning glazes, hair gels & creams, shave gels & foams, baby wipes, antiperspirant/deodorant, mascara, foam stabilizer for aerosol mousse.
• It complies with Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.
• It is listed with TSCA, AICS, NZIOC, IECSC, CSCL, ECL, CSNN and PICCS.
• It has a shelf life of 24 months.
