DMDM Hydantoin (and) Aqua. Kemidant L by Akema is a preservative with non-irritating and non-sensitizing efficacy. It is a 55% water solution of DMDM Hydantoin. It is highly effective against gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria and molds. It is compatible with anionic, cationic and non-ionic cosmetic ingredients. It is particularly suggested for aqueous formulations and emulsions. Kemidant L is synergistic with parabens and IPBC, other preservatives and preservative boosters. It is used in the most type of cosmetics for rinse-off, leave-on and wet wipes. Typical applications include hair, body, face, baby & sun care and make-up products. It is approved by FDA and EU scientific committees. It is approved for use in EU, US, ASEAN, China, Latam and Japan.
