Kemaben

Imidazolidinyl Urea (and) Methylparaben (and) Propylparaben (and) Propylene Glycol. Kemaben by Akema acts as a preservative. It is a synergistic combination of the antimicrobial compound imidazolidinyl urea with the antifungals methylparaben and propylparaben. It provides broad spectrum antimicrobial protection at low levels. It is highly effective against gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. Kemaben is soluble in water and polar solvents, insoluble in oils and non-polar sovents. It is compatible with anionic, cationic and non-ionic cosmetics ingredients. Ideal for preservation of aqueous systems and emulsions. Used in hair care (shampoos, conditioners, gels, mousses), body and face care (toners, gels, lotions, creams, wipes), make-up (foundations, eyeliners, mascaras, powders, wipes), sun products (sunscreens, suntans, aftersuns), bath products (shower gels, bubble baths, handcleaners, intimate, wipes), baby care (shampoos, bath products, gels, lotions, creams, powders, wipes) and raw material (surfactants).
