Kem PBD

Phenoxyethanol (and) Benzoic Acid (and) Dehydroacetic Acid. Kem PBD by Akema acts as a preservative. It is a balanced and gentle to skin combination with broad spectrum antimicrobial activity, suitable for the protection of rinse-off and leave-on cosmetics with slight acidic pH up to 6. It is a combination of antibacterial action of phenoxyethanol, the antibacterial/antifungal action of benzoic acid with the antifungal action of dehydroacetic acid and highly effective against gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. Kem PBD is slightly soluble in water and polar oils, soluble in alcohols and glycols. Particularly suggested for aqueous formulations and emulsions. It is approved for use in EU*, US, ASEAN*, China*, Japan, Latam*.
