Cosmetics & Personal Care Formulations with Thickeners & Stabilizers

This cleansing formulation leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturized. Glucamate™ DOE-120 Thickener and Glucquat™ 125 Humectant, two naturally-derived ingredients, add body and provide a rich skinfeel. Chemonic™ LI-7 Surfactant is a naturally-derived low irritation nonionic surfactant that boosts viscosity and emolliency.

This talc free powder utilizes DRY-FLO® PURE starch, a hydrophobically modified corn starch which adds a soft, silky feel to the powder. PURITY® 21C PURE starch is a very white, high purity corn starch which cost effectively compliments DRY-FLO PURE starch.

Light Sun Cream SPF 50 with PBSA is a light sun cream using Carbopol® Aqua SF-1 OS polymer for excellent emulsion stability and good electrolyte tolerance. The cream has good rub-in characteristics and a light skin feel. In combination with Glucamate™ SSE-20 and Glucate™ SS mild emulsifiers, Carbopol® Aqua SF-1 OS polymer provides best-in-class co-stabilization of this high oil phase oil-in-water emulsion with 3% of an electrolytic water-soluble UV filter, Phenyl Benzimidazole Sulfonic Acid (PBSA), for long term stability. Schercemol™ DIS ester efficiently solubilizes the organic UV filters while Schercemol™ CATC ester offers a non-tacky and comfortable afterfeel. A formulation by Lubrizol.

This Oil-Free Creamy Face Wash provides a deep cleaning that removes excess surface oil without drying out your skin. It contains STRUCTURE® CEL 500 HM rheology modifier that acts as a formula stabilizer and foam booster. It also contains Dissolvine® NA2-S as a chelating agent and preservation enhancer.

Easy Glide Anti-Perspirant Roll-On contains DRY-FLO® PURE starch gives a smooth feeling during and after product application. STRUCTURE® XL starch thickens this high salt system and is ideal for low pH. A formulation by AkzoNobel Personal Care.

This pomade formulation provides moderate hold and texture with a stringy rheology. AMPHOMER® polymer yields excellent humidity resistance, while FLEXAN® II polymer combined with PVP gives added hold with longer rheology. AMAZE® starch fixative provides a natural hold with excellent aesthetics and feel.

Clear, low pH shampoo with 1% Salicylic Acid. STRUCTURE® PLUS polymer provides thickening efficiency for this to thicken system.

This smooth and light feeling sunscreen cream contains DERMACRYL® 79 polymer and STRUCTURE® XL starch. DERMACRYL 79 polymer film forming polymer provides water and rub-off resistance to this formulation while STRUCTURE XL starch provides emulsion stabilization and a smooth feel. The final formulation is in-vivo tested, very water resistant SPF 30.
