Cosmetics & Personal Care Formulations with Solubilizers

It is well known that color treatment can cause hair to become excessively dry. To combat this problem, this formula includes moisturizers like Hydrolyzed Soy Protein and humectants like Lactamide MEA both of which help replenish the hair's moisture content. PEG-20 Almond Glycerides is an emollient and solubilizer for the dyes, while CocamidopropylamineOxide provides conditioning. Cocoamidopropyl Betaine and Cocamide DEA function as rinsing aids for the dyes.

Miracle Sensation Sun Lotion (SPF 30) is a non-sticky, sand adhesion minimizing, and water resistant (80 minutes) SPF 30 sun lotion. Avalure™ Flex-6 polymer works as the sole O/W emulsifier, delivering efficient and robust emulsion stabilization. Its excellent film-forming properties offer high water resistance (80 minutes) with a soft, non-greasy afterfeel. Schercemol™ DIS ester optimizes organic sunscreen solubilization without a greasy afterfeel while Matmarine™ Blue Ingredient reduces sebum levels to minimize imperfections such as spots, enlarged pores, and acne. Wash Jelly is a transparent, fun colored wash for hair and body with mild and foaming properties. Shea Butter based ingredients provides good viscosity and mildness, incorporating the unsaponifables from Shea. Shea Butter ingredients moisturize and condition the skin and hair and Lipex® 102 E-75 improves the viscosity and can acts as a perfume solubilizer. A formulation by AAK Personal Care.

Self emulsifing Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG 40 Castor Oil, Stearalkonium Chloride contributes conditioning properties, with Lauryl Laurate contributing silky skin feel.

SPF 30 CapSol Tinted Lip Gloss is a water-resistant organic sunscreen which provides moisturization, anti-aging and sun protection. It is suitable for all skin types.
It contains:

Finsolv PG-22 which acts as a conditioning agent, emollient, humectant and a solvent and a solubilizer. It offers characteristics such as enhanced moisturization, shine, leaving the skin soft, smooth and supple, reducing flaking and improving the skin's overall appearance.

Reduces the slippery or sticky feel of water soluble gums and polymers. 
• Eumulgin^® SG - It acts as a strong anionic O/W emulsifier. Used in cosmetic O/W emulsions.

Broad Spectrum Sun Lotion SPF 30 is a water-resistant lotion. It fulfills new FDA rules. It contains: 

• PARSOL^®1789 which acts as a UVB absorber, which can also boost SPF values. 
• PARSOL^® 340 which acts as a UVB absorber. It is an excellent solubilizer for solid, crystalline UV absorber.

This cold process after sun moisturizer is sprayable and light, it also contains coral seaweed and aloe vera for soothing and healing properties. Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer and Mineral Oil and Polysorbate 85 is used in this formulation to emulsify and stabilize this electrolyte containing sprayable lotion. Dimethicone PEG-7 Isostearate is also added to this formulation as a co-emulsifier.

After Shave Water Gel SPF 15 is a fast-absorbing daily sun shield for men. It contains: 

• Parsol^® 1789 which acts as a UVB absorber, which can also boost SPF values. It is an oil soluble powder that must be solubilized in a compatible oil.

This formulation demonstrates the use of Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer ; Mineral Oil; Polysorbate 85 as a rheology modifier and a primary emulsifier.
