Cosmetics & Personal Care Formulations with Solubilizers

This baby shampoo features CROVOL™ A-70 and CRODATERIC™ CAS 50, naturally derived surfactants that give this formula its mildness. Besides its ability to reduce the irritation of surfactant/shampoo systems, CROVOL A-70 is also used here as a wetting agent and fragrance solubilizer. CRODATERIC CAS 50 is a mild foam booster and produces a creamy lather. CROTHIX™ is used to thicken the formula. Using a fragrance with a 'baby-fresh' smell adds to its appeal.

This innovative Foaming Liquid Soap has low viscosity and rich, abundant foam when applied through the foaming valve. The foam's creaminess and stability is provided by Merquat™ 740 conditioning polymer and by the surfactant system. This system consists of the naturally derived soap Potassium Cocoate, Chembetaine™ OL-30 surfactant which delivers an emollient sensory, Chemoxide™ LO-PF amine oxide which boosts the foam and helps to stabilize the formula, and Chemonic™ LI-7 surfactant which aids in the solubilization of the fragrance and imparts emolliency to the skin. Glucquat™ 125 humectant, derived from corn and other sources, promotes humectancy to the skin. A formulation by Lubrizol.

Self emulsifing Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG 40 Castor Oil, Stearalkonium Chloride contributes conditioning properties, with Lauryl Laurate contributing silky skin feel.

This castor oil based lipstick has good slip, glide and shine. Kobo's Microsphere, MSS-500/3H, is used to achieve better application and helps to reduce any sweating. Kobo's Pigmentary Dispersions, INBP75ER and INBP45R7C, are used for the high percentage of color. They also help to improve wear and formula aesthetics.

Miracle Sensation Sun Lotion (SPF 30) is a non-sticky, sand adhesion minimizing, and water resistant (80 minutes) SPF 30 sun lotion. Avalure™ Flex-6 polymer works as the sole O/W emulsifier, delivering efficient and robust emulsion stabilization. Its excellent film-forming properties offer high water resistance (80 minutes) with a soft, non-greasy afterfeel. Schercemol™ DIS ester optimizes organic sunscreen solubilization without a greasy afterfeel while Matmarine™ Blue Ingredient reduces sebum levels to minimize imperfections such as spots, enlarged pores, and acne. This cold process after sun moisturizer is sprayable and light, it also contains coral seaweed and aloe vera for soothing and healing properties. Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer and Mineral Oil and Polysorbate 85 is used in this formulation to emulsify and stabilize this electrolyte containing sprayable lotion. Dimethicone PEG-7 Isostearate is also added to this formulation as a co-emulsifier.

This luxurious firming and anti-stretch body cream was developed to demonstrate that Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer; Mineral Oil; Polysorbate 85 can be used as auxiliary emulsifier for 15% oil. Emulsion stability is maintained when using high levels of actives that contain electrolytes.

This formulation demonstrates the use of Acrylates/Acrylamide Copolymer ; Mineral Oil; Polysorbate 85 as a rheology modifier and a primary emulsifier. Dimethicone PEG-7 Isostearate is utilized as a co-emulsifier to enhance stability and create attractive sensory benefits.
