What is CUCUMIS SATIVUS OIL used for?

  • Emollient / Skin conditioning: Softens skin and improves moisture retention without clogging pores. Frequently used in creams, lotions, serums, and eye products for lightweight hydration and a smooth feel.
  • Antioxidant protection: Neutralizes free radicals and supports skin defense against environmental stress. Ideal for anti-aging serums, day creams, and protective formulations to reduce oxidative damage.
  • Soothing & calming: Helps alleviate irritation, redness, and inflammation. Common in after-sun lotions, sensitive skin products, and hair care for a cooling, comforting effect.

Origin

Cucumis Sativus Oil is obtained by cold-pressing or expeller-pressing the seeds of the cucumber plant (Cucumis sativus), a member of the Cucurbitaceae family. The seeds are separated from the fruit pulp, cleaned, dried, and pressed to extract the fixed oil. This gentle, mechanical process preserves the oil's natural fatty acids, tocopherols, and delicate scent, yielding a high-quality, unrefined or lightly refined oil suitable for natural and organic cosmetic formulations.
