Acacia Senegal Gum is a potent thickener that improves the texture of cosmetic and personal care products. It stabilizes emulsions and also soothes the skin. Acacia Senegal Gum’s common name is Arabic Gum and it appears round or tear-shaped having a reddish-yellow color. It is mainly found in the Sahel Zone of Africa in countries like Sudan, Nigeria, and Chad. Being natural, this ingredient is largely safe for use in cosmetics. Origin

Acacia Senegal Gum is made from the hardened sap of the Acacia Senegal tree. The sap is harvested by making small cuts in the tree's bark, allowing the sap to ooze out and solidify. After drying, the gum is collected and processed by cleaning and giving it the desired shape.
