TBF Environmental Technology, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Delta, British Columbia, Canada (with operations in Hamilton, Ontario), is an innovative provider of low-VOC and HAPs-free solvents. Specializing in green chemistry replacements for traditional solvents, TBF focuses on sustainable, compliant solutions for coatings, adhesives, cleaning, and industrial applications. For the coatings industry, TBF Environmental Technology supplies VOC-compliant, HAPs-free solvents and solvent blends. These serve as effective replacements in formulations, offering good solvency, evaporation rates, and environmental performance in paints, varnishes, thinners, and cleaning for architectural and industrial coatings.

EkaSol 1

It is a green solvent, an environmentally compliant product. It is designed as VOC- and NPRI-exempt, safe, benzene-free and as a replacement for methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) & acetone. Also found to be non-carcinogenic, with no hazardous air pollutants, environmental hazardous ingredients or ozone depleting chemicals. Exhibits high purity, excellent solvency, improved flow characteristics, high loading capacity and is shaped to be more efficient in viscosity reduction than MEK and acetone. It is also non-toxic, as well as biodegradable in nature. Applications include paints & coatings formulations, gelcoats and varnish removers.

BerdeSol™

BerdeSol™ by TBF Environmental Technology, is a safe, low toxicity alternative for heptane, aromatic 100, cyclohexane, methyl amyl ketone (MAK), perchloroethylene and butyl acetate. Acts as a benzene-free, non-carcinogenic, biodegradable, clean air primary or co-solvent. It has a very low Maximum Incremental Reactivity (MIR) value and does not contain any hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and environmentally hazardous ingredients as well as ozone depleting or creating chemicals. Exhibits higher flash point, lesser flammability, very low toxicity, comparable physico-chemical characteristics, similar evaporation rate and surface tension, dispersion properties, greater solvency & solubility, improved flow characteristics, high loading capacity and 15-30% more efficiency in viscosity reduction to heptanes & other solvents requiring less solvent and decreasing costs. It is easy to distill, recycle, dries completely and leaves no surface residues. Suitable for paints, coatings and printing industries. BerdeSol™ is VOC-compliant in US and Canada and considered an Ultra-low VOC in South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and CARB - California Air Resources Board.

KradaSol™

KradaSol™ by TBF Environmental Technology, is a safe, low toxicity alternative for hexane, toluene, xylene, aromatic 100, cyclohexane, methyl amyl ketone (MAK), perchloroethylene and butyl acetate. Acts as a benzene-free, non-carcinogenic, biodegradable, clean air primary or co-solvent (green solvent). It has a very low Maximum Incremental Reactivity (MIR) value and does not contain any hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and environmentally hazardous ingredients as well as ozone depleting or creating chemicals. Exhibits higher flash point, lesser flammability, very low toxicity, comparable physicochemical characteristics, slower evaporation rate (useful in dissolution) and surface tension, dispersion properties and greater solvency & solubility. Offers improved flow characteristics, high loading capacity and 10-25% more efficiency in viscosity reduction requiring less solvent and decreasing costs. It works exceptionally well in the dissolution of bi- & tri-hydrogenated and non-hydrogenated block polymers. It is easy to distill, recycle, dries completely and leaves no surface residues. Suitable for paints, coatings, printing inks and varnishes. KradaSol™ is 100% VOC-compliant in US (EPA) and Canada (Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) and the National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI)) and considered an Ultra-low VOC in South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and California Air Resources Board (CARB). In the European Union (EU), all components of KradaSol™ are registered under REACH.
