BECKOSOL® (Coating ingredients)

Long castor alkyd plasticizer containing no solvents. Used in finishes requiring elongation and flexibility capability - primarily as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose lacquers for textiles, leather, paper, rubber, wood, and metals. Imparts good flexibility and elongation properties, even at low temperatures, great permanency because of low volatility and low migration, exhibits good color and color retention.
BECKOSOL® 11-035 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a soya-based, medium oil alkyd resin. It is supplied at 50% non-volatile in mineral spirits. Exhibits good- pigment wetting properties, durability and water resistance. It shows excellent compatibility with medium oil alkyds, aromatic & aliphatic solvents but limited compatibility with long oil, short oil alkyds and amino resins. BECKOSOL® 11-035 is suitable for use in industrial primers and enamels, roller coating & architectural enamels and structural steel paints. The oil type is soybean and content is 52%. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 10-060 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a soya-based, long oil alkyd resin. Exhibits excellent brushing properties, good initial color and gloss, good gloss and color retention. Suitable for use in architectural, brushing, trim enamels and maintenance coatings. BECKOSOL® 10-060 meets the requirements of Federal Specification TT-R-266 Type I Class A. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 1271 by Reichhold (Polynt) is 100% solid, long oil, linseed alkyd resin. Provides adhesion to chalked repaint surfaces when added to exterior latex finishes, can be readily emulsified into latex paint formulations, exhibits very good exterior durability, both as the sole vehicle and as a modifier, good wetting properties, excellent zinc oxide stability, offers broad compatibility with other film formers including alkyds, oils, chlorinated rubber and ethyl cellulose and yields fast-drying, alkali-resistant finishes when combined with chlorinated rubber. BECKOSOL® 1271 is suitable for use in house paints (conventional, as well as stain- and blister-resistant types), printing inks (lithographic, letterpress), tinting colors, trim paints, structural steel primers and modifier for exterior latex paints. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 1272 by Reichhold (Polynt) is 100% solid, long oil soya alkyd resin. Provides adhesion to chalked repaint surfaces when added to exterior latex finishes and can be readily emulsified into latex paint formulations. It exhibits very good exterior durability, both in solvent based house paints and as modifier for latex paints, has good wetting properties and displays excellent zinc oxide stability. BECKOSOL® 1272 is suitable for use in house paints (conventional, as well as stain- and blister-resistant types), printing inks (lithographic, letterpress), tinting colors, trim paints, structural steel primers and modifier for exterior latex paints. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 6440-A4-85 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a medium-oil chain-stopped alkyd resin. Exhibits gloss retention, develops very good early water-spot and humidity resistance. BECKOSOL® 6440-A4-85 is suitable for use in railroad equipment finishes, farm & implement enamels, heavy equipment finishes, air-dry primers, general utility enamels and specification finishes. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 6422-K3-75 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a non-HAPs, short oil, chain-stopped alkyd resin. Provides very good color and color retention, develops strong early water-spot, humidity and salt-spray resistance. It can be force dried, baked at low temperatures or at conventional schedules with or without amino resins. It retains gloss in exterior exposure comparable to conventional chain-stopped alkyds, dries tack-free in two hours. BECKOSOL® 6422-K3-75 is suitable for use in farm, road and construction equipment finishes, finishes for stationary machinery, toys, metal cabinets and hardware, air dry or low bake primers and shopcoats, direct to metal (DTM) coatings, aerosol paints and as lacquer modifier. It has a shelf life of one year.
BECKOSOL® 12-901 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a soyabean oil chain-stopped alkyd resin in xylol. Exhibits fast drying rate, good adhesion to metal, fast cure with amino resins, good corrosion resistance, and good yellowing resistance. It is compatible with acrylic resins. BECKOSOL® 12-901 is recommended for truck & bus finishes, automotive refinishing, interior & exterior finishes, and industrial enamels.
Short oil, chain-stopped alkyd in xylene. Used in industrial maintenance finishes, finishes for farm, road, and construction equipment, finishes for toys, hardware, and metal cabinets, fast air dry primers and shopcoats, aerosol enamels, lacquer modifiers. Dries tack-free within two hours, forces dry to tough, durable films, retains color in white and pastel formulations and retains high percentage of gloss in Florida exposure.
BECKOSOL® 15-254 by Reichhold (Polynt) is a versatile long oil alkyd resin. Exhibits high solids and high viscosity. Offers excellent viscosity retention and is excellent for pigmet dispersion. BECKOSOL® 15-254 is mainly suitable for architectural and industrial primer & enamels.
