Inhibisil™ 73 by PPG Industries is calcium modified synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide. Acts as an anti-corrosion pigment. Possesses high calcium oxide content, ease of dispersion and high Hegman value which provides formulation flexibility and expanded process capability. It is designed for use in high solids, thin film build coatings. Inhibisil™ 73 is compatible with other anti-corrosion additives. It is chemically inert, non-toxic, odorless and highly resistant to over-grind. Used in appliance finishes, aircraft coatings, metal furniture finishes, coil coatings, primer and base coats.
