Gum obtained from tears of the cypress Sandarac tree. It is smooth and provides a hard, white or transparent film that has excellent color retention. Used in spirit varnishes and lacquers.
Oleoresin. It is a film forming and plasticizing resin. Provides adhesion, flexibility, toughness and elasticity to the dried film. Exhibits good retention of color and gloss. Used in lacquers, varnishes and printing inks.
