PAT-ADD DA 202

PAT-ADD DA 202 by Patcham (FZC) is a non-ionic wetting agent. It is APE-free and replaces products such as alkyl phenol ethoxylates, which are banned in certain areas based on high toxicity concerns. It is extremely low foaming. It provides strong prevention of pigment flocculation, floating, flooding, and pigment settling.

Offers maintenance of efficiency even after storage-stable viscosity.

It is typically used in dispersion paints in conjunction with polycarboxylic dispersion agents, such as PAT-ADD DA 101 or 103.

It is very suitable for use in universal colorants, as designed for tinting purposes of waterborne and solvent borne paints.

It optimizes color development, paint stability, when added prior to milling.

The optimal amount is to be used is system related, but generally is between 0.1 and 0.5%, calculated on the total weight of paint formulation.

For use as wetting agent in universal colorants higher dosages are required, generally 2 to 10% on total weight of the colorant.

PAT-ADD DA 202 is a REACH compliant grade.

PAT-ADD DA 301

PAT-ADD DA 301 by Patcham (FZC) is an anionic wetting agent and compatibiliser. It shows extreme strong wetting efficiency and cures rub-up problems. It is multifunctional and compatible with a wide range of waterborne as well as of solventborne paint systems. It is strongly adsorbed onto inorganic pigments and extenders, thus creating a dense charged layer, which contributes to electrostatic stabilization of the dispersed pigment and extender particles. The tendency of pigment flocculation, during paint production, storage or application is reduced, whereas properties like viscosity stability on storage, color development, opacity are being optimized, using PAT-ADD DA 301. Improves the adhesion of paints and inks if applied onto polar substrates. The optimal amount of to be used is system related, but generally is between 0.1 and 0.5% calculated on the total weight of paint formulation, in case of post addition typically higher levels are needed, such as approx 1% product on total weight of paint. For use as wetting agent in colorants/ tinters (typically in conjunction with PAT-ADD DA 601) higher dosages are required, generally 2 to 5% on total weight of the colorant or tinter. It is a REACH compliant.

PAT-ADD DA 103

PAT-ADD DA 103 by Patcham (FZC) is a 45% solids polymeric dispersing agent for inorganic pigments. It is an anionic polyelectrolyte, sodium salt.

It enables high pigment loading in the mill-base, is non-foaming and contributes to best paint storage stability.

It is strongly adsorbed onto inorganic pigments and extenders, thus creating a dense charged layer, which contributes to electrostatic stabilization of the dispersed pigment and extender particles.

The tendency of pigment flocculation, during paint production, storage or application is reduced, whereas properties like viscosity stability on storage, color development, opacity, scrub-resistance are being optimized.
Its benefits include reduced pigment grinding time and no phase separation.

Suitable for water-borne decorative applications.

The optimal number of PAT-ADD DA 103 to be used is system related but generally is between 0.4 and 2.0% calculated on the total weight of the mill-base and 0.3-0.7% on total paint formulation.

It is a REACH compliant grade.
