Polyurethane. TAFIGEL® PUR 62 by Munzing acts as rheology modifier. It exhibits very good shear thinning characteristics. Possesses high sag resistance. Offers good flow, leveling, and gloss.
TAFIGEL® AP 10 by Munzing is a polymeric thickener for aqueous systems. It is an anionic hydrophobically modified acrylic copolymer emulsion. It is free of VOC, APE, organo-tin and solvent. It requires an alkaline pH-value for optimum efficiency. In comparison to common HASE thickeners, it shows a stronger associative thickening character. It is used in architectural-, wood-, paper coatings, printing inks and industrial coatings. Recommended dosage level is 0.1-4.0% on total formulation. TAFIGEL® AP 10 has a shelf life of 15 months from the date of manufacture.
TAFIGEL® AP 30 by Munzing is a medium viscosity, polymeric thickener for anionic and nonionic, aqueous systems. It offers excellent sagging resistance and very high water retention in paper coatings. It is suitable for pH up to 13. It is used in coatings. It has a dosage level of 0.05 to 4%. TAFIGEL® AP 30 has a recommended shelf life of 9 months.
Tafigel® PUR 50 by Munzing is a VOC free non-ionic polyurethane, supplied in water. Acts as a solvent- and emulsifier-free associative thickener which builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. TAFIGEL PUR 50 can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners, as well as with further technology thickeners. TAFIGEL PUR 50 is recommended for use in interior and exterior paints, latex paints, anti-corrosive paints. It provides thickening independent of pH, excellent application properties, good flow, leveling and gloss, good spatter resistance and very good color acceptance on tinting. Normal dosage ranges from 0.3 - 2% on total formulation.
Tafigel® PUR 80 by Munzing is a APE-, VOC- and organotin free non-ionic polyurethane in water. Act as an associative thickener which builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. TAFIGEL PUR 80 can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners, as well as with further thickener technologies. Aqueous gloss paints, thickened with TAFIGEL PUR 80 show minimal pseudoplasticity, similar to the rheology of solvent borne systems. Provides thickening independent of pH, excellent flow, levelling & gloss, good spatter resistance and excellent color acceptance on tinting. TAFIGEL PUR 80 is recommended for use in interior and exterior paints, latex paints and anti-corrosive paints. Normal dosage ranges from 0.3 - 2% on total formulation.
High molecular weight acrylic copolymer. Possesses high thickening effect over a broad shear range.
Tafigel® PUR 60 by Munzing is a APE- and VOC-free non-ionic polyurethane in butyltriglycol/water. Acts as rheology modifier/associative thickener which builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. TAFIGEL PUR 60 provides strong pseudoplastic rheological profile with excellent shear thinning characteristics. It can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners, as well as with further thickener technologies. TAFIGEL PUR 60 is designed for use in industrial coatings. It is also recommended for interior and exterior paints, latex paints, anti-corrosive paints. Offers high sag resistance, good flow, leveling and gloss, excellent atomization for spray application. It can be used over a wide pH range.
Non-ionic polyurethane in butyltriglycol/water, APE-, VOC- and organotin free. Acts as an "associative thickener" which builds up and stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and other paint ingredients. TAFIGEL PUR 48 can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners as well as with further thickener technologies. Offers excellent brush handling, good flow, leveling and gloss, good spatter resistance and very good color acceptance on tinting. It is also recommended for interior and exterior paints, latex paints, anti-corrosive paints and emulsion plasters.
Tafigel® PUR 41 by Munzing is a non-ionic polyurethane. Acts as an APE-, VOC- and organotin free associative thickener which builds up and
stabilizes viscosity by forming a network between polyurethane, binder molecules and pigment particles. It can be used alone or in combination with other TAFIGEL thickeners as well as with further thickener technologies. Tafigel® PUR 41 is recommended for use in interior and exterior paints, latex paints, anti-corrosive paints. It leads to thickening independent of pH value. Offers excellent brush handling, good flow, leveling & gloss, good spatter resistance and very good color acceptance on tinting. Normal dosage ranges from 0.3 - 2 % on total formulation.
