NL1050B by Mitsubishi Chemical is a linear polycarbonate diol (with hydroxyl groups at both ends). It easily reacts with isocyanate compounds (such as MDI, TDI, IPDI, H<sub>12</sub>MDI) and generate polymers with superior characteristics. Exhibits higher chemical (oleic acid- & ethanol) resistance, abrasion resistance, hardness & non-crystallinity & handling, similar mechanical properties and lesser flexibility at low temperature than 16HD polycarbonate diol. Possesses weather resistance & hydrolysis resistance and offers durability. NL1050B is used in automobile paints and plastic coatings for electronics.
