Hectone™ 3 by Lubrizol is a waterborne thickener based on purified montmorillonit clay. It offers increased viscosity and improved settling properties of fillers and pigments & provides sag control. It is recommended for water-based, highly filled emulsion coatings. It shows good thixotropic flow behavior, no influence on drying performance and can be post-added. Hectone™ 3 is biologically stable and reproducible. The dosage level of the grade is 1-10% based on total formulation weight. The re-test date of Hectone™ 3 is 365 days after date of manufacturing.
