Red Pearl KT-508 by Kolortek is a mixture of mica (45-49%) and iron oxide (51-55%). It is a pearlescent and metallic pigment. It is made from mica flakes coated by ferric oxide. It has warm metallic lustre, strong concealing property and chemical/physical stability. Different colors can be produced by controlling the thickness of the iron oxide coat. Red Pearl KT-508 is used in coatings. Red Pearl KT-215 by Kolortek is a mixture of mica (52-56%), tin oxide (0-1%) and titanium dioxide (44-48%). It is a special effect interference pearlescent pigment. It bears thicker layer of titanium dioxide which caused lights interfere selectively. Viewing from certain angles, some colors are strengthened and the complementary ones are dimmed or disappeared. This results a dual-color effect. Using same color phase can highlight the color effect. Red Pearl KT-215 is used in coatings.
