DBP(M) by KLJ Group acts as a plasticizer. It is almost colorless, odorless or slightly aromatic, ester odor oily liquid, free of foreign materials, insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. It resembles DBP but has lower specific gravity and lower freezing point. It is used effectively in protective coatings based on cellulose acetate, ethyl cellulose and vinyl polymers etc.
