Polyplate® HMT by KaMin is a high brightness, very high aspect ratio, delaminated kaolin, intended for use in water-borne coatings, adhesives, and sealants. It is a Hydrous aluminum silicate. The large, platy structure of Polyplate® HMT imparts increased hide, tinting strength, enamel holdout, crack resistance, and reinforcement properties in water based systems. Used in architectural and wood coatings. Polyplate® PW by KaMin is a water-washed, high brightness, blue-white, high aspect ratio, delaminated kaolin. Designed for use in water-borne coatings and inks. The platy structure of Polyplate® PW imparts increased hide, tint strength, and holdout to the systems in which is used. Polyplate® P01 by KaMin is a milled, high brightness, large particle size delaminated kaolin, intended for use in solvent and water-borne coatings and inks. The high aspect ratio of the large platy particles provides improved tinting strength, enamel holdout, and crack resistance. Typical applications of Polyplate® P01 include architectural coatings, industrial coatings, wood coatings, pigmented coatings and technical ceramics. Polyplate® P by KaMin is a high brightness, delaminated clay intended for use in latex paints, water flexography inks or water-based systems where increased hiding, tinting strength and improved hold out are desirable. Polyplate® P is also used in architectural coatings, industrial coatings and wood coatings application.
