Vinyltoluene (VT) by Jiangsu Zhengdan Chemical Industry is a flammable, mixture of m-methylstyrene and p-methylstyrene. Compared with styrene monomer (SM), it has lower toxicity, volatility and odor, higher stability and flash point. Suitable as a replacement of SM for the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resin, modified alkyd resin, vinyl resin etc. which are widely used in impregnating insulation dip paint and coatings. It is reactive with oxidants, peroxides and strong acids. Vinyltoluene (VT) has high flash point and is stored in a warehouse below 16°C.
